IncidentWatch is a South Australian service that gathers public emergency, warning and weather information into one live picture — and keeps the record after the incident closes.
Who runs it
IncidentWatch is built and operated by IncidentWatch, based in South Australia. It is independently run and is not a government service.
What it is not
IncidentWatch is not an emergency service, and in an emergency you should call 000 (Triple Zero). We are not affiliated with SA MFS, SA CFS, SA SES, SA Ambulance Service, SA Police or the Bureau of Meteorology. Official warnings always take precedence over anything shown here.
Where the information comes from
Everything IncidentWatch displays originates in publicly available Australian sources — emergency service incident and warning feeds, Bureau of Meteorology observations and forecasts, and public land, fire-danger and infrastructure datasets. We assemble, cross-reference and retain it; we do not create it, and we do not have access to anything the public does not.
Sources can be delayed, incomplete or superseded, and they change without notice. That is why the service shows you what it knows and when it knew it, rather than presenting a single confident answer.
Why it keeps the record
Most public emergency information is ephemeral: a warning is replaced by its successor, a page scrolls away, and once an incident closes it becomes very hard to reconstruct what actually happened. IncidentWatch keeps a durable record of each incident — including the weather at the time and the sequence of warnings — so the picture is still there a month later.
